2015 Annual Auction & Banquet – Thank You Everyone for this great event!

Dear Members and Friends,

This year’s MSGDA Auction & Banquet will be held Saturday April 18th at the Eagle River Lions Club,
located at 8344 Eagle River Road. Those of you who have attended past banquets know what a great
event this is. So come out for a fun evening with friends and win some great prizes.

Our banquet gets better every year. Last year, we had the best array of raffle and auction items ever.
This year, the raffle and auction items will be even better! We already have guns, Zinger Winger
Products, an e-collar, and many other great prizes. Don’t miss out on the chance to win!

100% of the auction and raffle revenue supports MSGDA programs and events. The funds raised allow
us to keep entry fees low and provide quality birds and equipment. The banquet is a fun opportunity for
club members, guests, individuals interested in training retrievers, and the general public to win valuable
items and support MSGDA.

Dinner this year will feature three entrees: Baron of beef, Teriyaki chicken, and fish with sides of salad,
mashed potatoes and gravy, fried rice, green beans with bacon, rolls, and great deserts. Cost of the
dinner will be $40 per person, or $75 per couple. So join us for a great meal and cocktails at the Lions
Club.

Sign up now to be included in the Early Bird Raffle. Details about the Early Bird gun, banquet tickets, and
renewing your membership are included in the attachment. Complete and return this form promptly to
ensure you are entered in the Early Bird Raffle. All of MSGDA’s events are family events. Don’t forget to
bring your kids; all of MSGDA’s events are family events.

Once again this year is the ability to pre order raffle tickets, banquet tickets and membership in one

A Great Test Season Winds Down.

Takeoff! As hunting season rolls around and the testing season closes, the Midnight Sun Gun Dog Association would like to thank everyone for a great 2014 season.  This was a very special year for MSGDA.  We celebrated the clubs 25 year anniversary, held the NAHRA Invitational for the first time ever in Alaska, and at our final event, we were the first club to use the new NAHRA online entry service.

We are looking forward to 2015; we will have our 2015 event dates on our website soon.   Our focus next year will be on the young gun dogs and their handlers.  We are looking at options for special training days geared toward the started and hunter handlers and helping take them to the next level.  We will of course have our annual banquet in spring, picnic fun day events, at least three NAHRA Field tests this coming year.

We also want to let you know that the club still has some chukar available.  We need to empty our pen out before September 1.  If you are interested in purchasing some chukar, please contact Kent Bull at 229-2951.  Also, the board is always looking for help at our banquets, field events, or even as a board member.   If you feel like you can help out in anyway, please contact us.

From the MSGDA board, we hope that you all have a safe and wonderful hunting season.  Thanks again for all your support this year and we hope to see you all soon!
