What is the Live Bird Raffle?
We started a Live Bird Account in 2007 to raise money to provide live birds at all of our events. We ask our members to bring an item to be raffled off during our Saturday Hunt Test Tailgate Cookouts.
Suggestions include bumpers, whistles, coasters, blankets, healing sticks, dog bowls, prints, some “doggy” item around the house that hasn’t been used, anything for dogs or people that love dogs – basically anything to do with retrievers. Items from our corporate sponsors and some surplus training items from the club will also be included.
During the cookouts we sell tickets for the preceding raffle. The proceeds are placed in a special account to purchase live birds at future field events. It’s a lot of fun and also helps the club keep those quality live birds coming!
