Fall/Winter Training Classes

MSGDA is happy to once again be teaming up with Baron Rea at Wetland Retrievers to provide retriever training this fall and into early winter. Field work will typically be held in various locations in the valley, there may be classroom classes help in Anchorage. Classes are scheduled to begin October 30th and run until January 2, 2022. Classes are typically scheduled for Saturdays, but there will be a few Sunday classes. We will once again have an advanced class that starts at 10am, and a Started class with a start time of noon. Each class is limited to 15 dogs, and we ask that you limit 1 dog per handler per class. Please sign up quick as classes will fill. We ask that each participate in a current 2021 or new 2022 member. Still a couple spots for Beginner/Started.

The Midnight Sun Gun Dog Association is happy to announce that it will once again be teaming up with Baron Rea of Wetland Retrievers and conducting retriever training classes this winter.  

The classes will take place in the Matsu Valley and start November  10th.  Class dates will be as follows, November 10, 17 and 24th.  The December dates will be the 15th, 22nd and 29th.  And the final class will be held on January 5th.   

The advanced class will begin at 10 am, and the started class will begin around noon.  Each class size will be limited to 12 handlers.  The cost to attend all classes will be $100 for current MSGDA members or $125 which will include a 2019 MSGDA membership.

2018 Alaska Regional Recognized Dogs

Congratulations to the 2018 Alaska Regional Recognized dogs. Dogs entered in Saturdays July 14 event under the stake they are regionally qualified for will have the chance for an Alaska Region, Red, White, and Blue ribbon. Entries are open to everyone, not just regional dogs.
